Mrs. Kia has a diverse educational and professional background. She received her Juris Doctorate in Law from Whittier Law School in 2005; as well she received a special Certificate in International and Comparative Law from Whittier Law School.
During law school, she was an active member of the Moot Court Honors Board, and on the Dean’s List.She is admitted to practice before the Eastern Federal District Courts of California.Mrs. Kia is an active member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association, Sacramento Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Mrs. Kia has successfully represented numerous foreign nationals in immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) in 1998. Mrs. Kia went on to receive her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree (2000) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree (2002) from the University of Southern California (USC), where she received the Dean’s Scholastic Scholarship, the Helen P & Jack Levin Scholarship, and was a Senator on the USC Graduate and Professional Student Senate.
Mrs. Kia speaks fluent Farsi and English.
